"Evolution 2012" is the Wiha motto at this year's International Hardware Fair in Cologne, which is being held 4-7 March 2012. Wiha will be presenting its new products to the professional audience at Hall 10.1, Stand Number F-001/G-002, offering the chance to see the products which are setting new standards in the industry literally first-hand.

The iTorque is the first torque screwdriver of its type. The "i" in iTorque stands for the new product's properties: it's intelligent, innovative and individual. As a mechatronic model, it combines high precision with simple handling. For example, the integrated counter records each application and displays its actual number. In conjunction with the specially adjustable alarm function, testing equipment monitoring is now easier and more individual than ever before.

With iTorque, Wiha doesn't just provide users great added value in terms of functionality, but also sets new service benchmarks. Customers can use both permanent lasering with individual customer information and reliable recalibration by Wiha Services.

The innovative Wiha torque assortment also includes a new range of cable keys in interchangeable blade design which are excellently suited for circular plug connectors. The special trick here: Just fasten it tight until it clicks audibly to signalise that the exact torque and firm seating have been reached. Thanks to the new set, sore fingers and untight fastenings are now a thing of the past.

MaxxTor bits and BitBuddy:a step ahead in fastening.

The MaxxTor bits are the second world first that Wiha is presenting at the Cologne Hardware Fair. This new generation of dual-component bits is awaiting visitors with a number of innovations representing a convincing solution for the growing requirements on tools. The significantly extended torsion zone guarantees maximum bit service life. With length extension of 29 mm, the bits now reach low-lying fastening elements. Wilfried Hahn, Managing Director at Wiha: "We are especially proud that effective immediately we are able to offer suitable bits for the toughest fastenings and the extreme requirements of impact screwdrivers." Incidentally, with the practical BitBuddy box on the belt clip, the MaxxTor bits are always at hand and can be exchanged effortlessly with just one hand.

Additional highlights

Wiha developers know that nothing is so good that it cannot be improved upon. Therefore, at the same time new tools are constantly being developed, existing products are being enhanced. For example, fastening screws is simplified with the MagicFlip universal bit holder. This is because its ring magnet which holds the screw can be activated and deactivated as needed. When it "flips" back, the magnet sleeve automatically springs back to enable precise recessing and allow a view of the screw head. The "ErgoStar" is the star among the L-key holders, and starting immediately it is available as part of an expanded, 13-piece set.
