With the Wiha multifunctional pliers 8in1 electric a total of eight applications are covered in one tool which is very convenient, power saving and, above all, safe to use.
When professional electricians choose their tools for construction sites or mobile jobs they usually adhere to the principle of taking as FEW tools as possible to cover as MANY functions or tasks as needed. On the one hand, they need to save space and weight in the tool case and, on the other, make sure not to forget anything! This is why multifunctional tools that cover several tasks with a single tool are very popular among professionals.
Hand tool manufacturer Wiha is now presenting a brand new pliers innovation. With the Wiha multifunctional pliers 8in1 electric a total of eight applications are covered in one tool which is very convenient, power saving and, above all, safe to use.
Whether cables must be cut, screws shortened, material held or grabbed, the multifunctional pliers 8in1 electric can be applied in many ways. They can be used just as easily for stripping, crimping, fastening, deburring or bending. A switchable opening spring allows smooth working when activated and safe space-saving storage when deactivated. The comfortable two-component handle is gentle on hands and muscles. Similar to all Wiha tools with VDE test certificate, the pliers are individually tested at 10,000 V AC and approved up to 1,000 V AC.
Here are the pliers details: the flat rounded side can be used to bend wires easily and free of damage to shape a small eyelet, for instance. The sharp edged side allows the deburring of plastic edges, for example inside flush-mounted boxes. The smooth gripping surface in the front allows fine wires to be held or fed without damage, while the serrated gripping surface behind it allows safe and powerful gripping. The special shape of the newly developed geometry of the classical pipe grip allows gripping round material and pipes as well as the tightening and loosening of hex screws and bolts.
When working with cables the pliers can be used for precise and clean cutting of copper and aluminium cables up to a diameter of 5 x 2.5 mm² / Ø 15 mm, while three separate stripping points are available for stripping wires in the standard sizes of 0.75 mm², 1.5 mm² and 2.5 mm². A crimping point with arbor pressing allows crimping of wire-end sleeves ranging from 0.5 - 2.5 mm². In addition, tool screws up to a diameter of 3.3 mm of in-wall installations, such as sockets, switches and buttons, can be easily cropped to the desired length with the shearing point of the multi-functional pliers.
The agglomerated combination of functional variety, convenient and power-saving application plus the advanced ergonomic and safety-related aspects makes this Wiha innovation a true autumn highlight.
