Quick and contactless voltage detection with the latest product by Wiha
When it comes to identifying and localising live electrical cabling, breaks and interruptions or other sources of error, meticulous sensitivity is called for. And there is no dispute when it comes to the tool of choice – a voltage tester is essential for detecting and testing alternating electrical fields.
Hand tool manufacturer Wiha has expanded its range for electricians once again to include a solution that assists users with this task. The new single-pole, contactless Wiha Volt Detector voltage tester is equipped with special features that offer valuable benefits to users. Its basic function focuses on providing a rapid, time-saving initial indication of whether, where and how much voltage is present in a given area.
It is also extremely easy to use – once it is switched on, a green LED indicates that it is ready for use. During the voltage test, a visual and acoustic signal indicates whether an alternating electric field is present and how strong it is, from blue to orange to red (weak, medium or strong). It also covers a large voltage range from 12-1,000 V AC, thus ensuring maximum flexibility of use. An internationally compatible measurement tip enables the device to be used on all socket variants worldwide.
An integrated, bright LED light provides optimal illumination in dark work environments and also enables use as a flashlight.
With its handy format complete with retaining clip, the Volt Detector is easy to carry on the go.
