With an invitation to the Mars mission, Wiha is launching its new XXL III electric tool case, and in the market launch campaign has stated that it will enable the company to set out to completely new worlds. The planet, known for its hilly landscapes, mountains, volcanoes and difficult environment, serves as a setting for showcasing the special tool case concept. This makes it easy and convenient for users to take the new "mobile workshop on wheels" with them - no matter how challenging the terrain or construction site may be. With its very robust, multifunctional concept and tailored content, the latest generation of tool cases offers multiple advantages with regard to functionality, ergonomics, efficiency and safety for everyday professional use.
With its large and specially designed wheels in XXL format, the case trolley rolls easily over steps or rough terrain and easily overcomes the typical obstacles encountered during mobile use. This makes it easier for users to access their work sites and maximises their freedom of movement. If work has to be carried out on ceilings or at elevated places, an extending step and also the closed case itself with its strong legs can be used as a mobile mounting aid for accessing difficult locations.
Two recessed notches in the case lid serve as a sawing aid for smaller jobs such as cutting cable ducts, pipes or rods to length. The material is placed in the notches and easily measured with the integrated gauge. Positioning the case on the four unfolded legs, even when open, ensures a much more convenient, efficient and ergonomic working position, as users no longer have to bend down to the floor to get the tools. Shock absorbers prevent unintentional closing of the case lid and lower the risk of crushed fingers. All myWiha members can have personalised case labels generated for a personal touch free of charge. To protect tools against theft, an integrated feature can be used to secure the case with a padlock.
The comprehensive content includes familiar Wiha classics for the electrical trade such as voltage-proof SoftFinish® slimFix screwdrivers, clever pliers solutions, automatic crimping and stripping tools and special hand tools such as the electrician's spirit level. It also features new products from recent years such as a hacksaw, a multifunctional flashlight, the Wiha electrician's hammer or the single-pole, contactless volt detector available since 2020. The 32-pieces slimVario electric set in a practical bag, which was recently awarded the “if Product Design Award 2020”, is also included. Three different screwdriver handle types, slimBits, nuts and adapters offer users maximum combination freedom for all common fastening tasks.
