1. Can I also fasten manually with a Wiha electric screwdriver?

Yes, a Wiha e-screwdriver can also be used as a conventional screwdriver despite its electric drive. With the speedE® II electric, a maximum of 8 Nm and with the speedE® PocketDrive a maximum of 12 Nm can be achieved by manually tightening the screws without damaging them. The ability to use an e-screwdriver as a fully-fledged screwdriver is essential, especially for sensitive, final tightening.

2. Two e-screwdrivers? What are the differences between the speedE® II electric and speedE® PocketDrive?

The main difference lies in the application: The speedE® II electric in combination with the VDE-certified slimBits is approved for work on live parts up to 1,000 V AC. The speedE® PocketDrive is NOT VDE certified.

Another difference is the price: the slightly more expensive speedE® II is the ideal professional tool if you carry out 100s of screw connections a week. The speedE® PocketDrive, on the other hand, is slightly cheaper and is suitable for both professionals and hobby craftsmen.

The speedE® II electric comes with rechargeable batteries for changing; the speedE® PocketDrive can be conveniently charged via a USB-C cable.

3. What distinguishes a Wiha e-screwdriver from a cordless screwdriver?

So much! In addition to the electric screwdriving function, our speedE®s can also be used for fastening by hand.

Thanks to their compact screwdriver shape and lighter weight, they are ideal for mobile use. In addition, an electric screwdriver does not deliver blows to the wrist, as is often the case with cordless screwdrivers.
Thanks to the selectable material protection function (speedE® II electric 0.4 Nm or 1 Nm | PocketDrive 1 Nm or 5 Nm), an electric screwdriver protects the workpiece and surrounding material from damage.
The speedE® II electric can be used as a fully-fledged VDE screwdriver or as a torque tool by combining it with the insulated slimBits or the torque easyTorque adapters.
