This is how we rely on renewable energies

In order to get closer to our goal of maximum CO2 reduction and to reach the neutrality target, we have already initiated and implemented a whole series of measures.

Blue skies, pure sunshine - our favorite weather... So we are taking advantage and relying on solar energy, which "falls out of the blue" so to speak... and already supplies several of our locations with energy.

Baden-Württemberg was the sunniest federal state in 2022. Of course, we won't miss out on 2185 hours of sunshine!*

With solar panels at 50% of our production sites, we can already cover a large part of our daily energy needs.

We heat up the winter with CO2-neutral wood pellets

Looking at our highly efficient heating system warms our hearts. Our main location in Schonach, for example, is already heated with over 66% biomass in the form of CO2 neutrally produced wood pellets. Another step towards a CO2 neutral future.

We have invested 1.4 million euros in the new heating system in Schonach and are simultaneously giving the municipality of Schonach the opportunity to connect to our heating infrastructure with a future municipal heating network.

Laughing in the basement? We actually do that, because that's where our highly efficient heating system with 66% biomass is located.

Modern energy-saving methods are part of the Wiha infrastructure

In buildings with poor energy efficiency, the energy required only flows in one direction... away.

Self-regulating lighting installations, heating automation, triple-glazed windows or extra insulation layers are examples of how we are already saving 30% of energy requirements in Schonach!

We are "electrified" with regard to the new mobility and are exchanging "humming for whirring"

We started converting our vehicle fleet to "E" back in 2018. With every new purchase, the proportion continues to grow!
