The Wiha Bit concept

Wiha Bit Concept

Is this all too familiar to you? You just want to find the right bit for a specific task quickly. You're standing in the store and seem to spend hours gazing at the huge variety of ranges and variants there, trying to work out which bit is the one that you need. Or you google away online looking for help and the right choice?

We've now put an end to your searches. Selecting the right bits now takes a matter of seconds since all you need to do is to look at the screw shape.

How you benefit

Optimum performance, long life

You'll take far less time to change bits thanks to a lifespan* at 120 times longer. Saving time also saves money. Fewer changes also mean less risk of losing bits and needing to find them again.

"Impact perfect" for all uses

One bit for one screw type, no matter how you intend to fasten it. Our bits are suitable for both impact screwdriver tasks and for fastening by hand. This makes it quicker and easier to switch between different steps in your work process.

UV coating makes it easier to look for and find

The special UV layer in the colour coating lights up the bits with a fluorescent glow if you shine a suitable light on them, such as the Wiha multi-functional torch. This ensures that they can be spotted far more quickly, especially in dark places, such as engine rooms, or among other grey bits.

Our three bit categories in detail

Wiha TY bits

With a lifespan* at 120 times longer, the Wiha TY bit is suitable for all types of screws. Our patented Wiha bit technology for an optimised torsion zone ensures an extremely high standard of quality. This makes the TY bit the right choice for both Y-shaped countersunk screws and T-shaped socket head screws.

Universal in its use, the TY bit is the ideal tool for fastenings in all types of materials – from metal to wood. The TY bit also stands out thanks to its red marking, making it easy to find. If you shine a suitable UV light on the bit, you can even see it in the dark thanks to its fluorescent coating.

Wiha T bits

With a lifespan* at 120 times longer, the Wiha T bit is eminently suitable for T-shaped screws. Our patented Wiha bit technology for optimised torsion zones ensures a very high standard of quality. T-shaped screws, also known as socket head screws, are characterised by a 90° angle between the thread and screw head.

The T bit is also particularly suitable for fastening T screws in materials such as metal (tough fastenings). The T bit also stands out thanks to its blue marking, making it easy to find. If you shine a suitable UV light on this bit, you can even see it in the dark thanks to its fluorescent coating.

Wiha Y bits

With a lifespan* at 120 times longer, the Wiha Y bit is eminently suitable for Y-shaped screws. Our patented Wiha bit technology for optimised torsion zones ensures an extremely high standard of quality. Y-shaped screws, also known as countersunk screws, are characterised by an angle greater than 90° between the thread and screw head. The Y bit is also particularly suitable for fastening Y screws in materials such as wood (soft applications).

The Y bit also stands out thanks to its yellow marking, making it easy to find. If you shine a suitable UV light on this bit, you can even see it in the dark thanks to its fluorescent coating.
