Wiha Bit Concept
Our three bit categories in detail
Wiha TY bits
With a lifespan* at 120 times longer, the Wiha TY bit is suitable for all types of screws. Our patented Wiha bit technology for an optimised torsion zone ensures an extremely high standard of quality. This makes the TY bit the right choice for both Y-shaped countersunk screws and T-shaped socket head screws.
Universal in its use, the TY bit is the ideal tool for fastenings in all types of materials – from metal to wood.
The TY bit also stands out thanks to its red marking, making it easy to find. If you shine a suitable UV light on the bit, you can even see it in the dark thanks to its fluorescent coating.
Wiha T bits
With a lifespan* at 120 times longer, the Wiha T bit is eminently suitable for T-shaped screws. Our patented Wiha bit technology for optimised torsion zones ensures a very high standard of quality. T-shaped screws, also known as socket head screws, are characterised by a 90° angle between the thread and screw head.
The T bit is also particularly suitable for fastening T screws in materials such as metal (tough fastenings).
The T bit also stands out thanks to its blue marking, making it easy to find. If you shine a suitable UV light on this bit, you can even see it in the dark thanks to its fluorescent coating.
Wiha Y bits
With a lifespan* at 120 times longer, the Wiha Y bit is eminently suitable for Y-shaped screws. Our patented Wiha bit technology for optimised torsion zones ensures an extremely high standard of quality. Y-shaped screws, also known as countersunk screws, are characterised by an angle greater than 90° between the thread and screw head. The Y bit is also particularly suitable for fastening Y screws in materials such as wood (soft applications).
The Y bit also stands out thanks to its yellow marking, making it easy to find. If you shine a suitable UV light on this bit, you can even see it in the dark thanks to its fluorescent coating.
