Here we get to the bottom of some facts, figures and background information - this time on the subject of sustainability and the ‘inner core’ of our SoftFinish® screwdrivers.
Did you know that…
- Wiha has for many years recycled the re-granulate material waste that occurs during the injection moulding process of the SoftFinish®-screwdriver handles and returned it to the manufacturing process? It is then used for the first injection that is no longer visible at the end. In a second step, the exterior injection of new material in the Wiha design colours completely encloses the interior injection.
- By completely abandoning the use of new material for the first injection, approx. 200 t CO / year can be saved!
This great saving of waste and material is beneficial to the environment and saves resources. Furthermore, Wiha screwdrivers are known for their durability due to their high quality standards – which in turn means long-term waste prevention!
