ONE VDE set for all screwdriving work in electrical installations
Screwing is one of the most common tasks in your work. It is therefore necessary to have a variety of different screwdriving tools to hand. This costs space in the organisation system and time if the right tool is not to hand.
For this challenge, we offer a particularly variable and therefore efficient VDE tool set for screw fastening. The combinability of the individual tools is clearly recognisable by the "ElectricVario Family" symbol. The completely voltage-safe system is unique and consists of a total of 83 components. You can put your set together yourself and transport it in an L-Boxx, for example. Or you can use one of our fully equipped electrician tool sets:
The sets from the "ElectricVario Family" cover all screwdriving applications in electrical installations:
- Switch cabinet work
- Installation of sockets and lamps
- Installation of white goods (household appliances)
- Fittings of any kind
These set components make up the variable system:
Screwdriver handles
1. Screwdriver handles for manual screwing
Different sized, ergonomic screwdriver handles are available depending on requirements: The PicoFinish® presicion screwdriver with fast-turning zone is available for delicate and precise screwdriving. The SoftFinish® slimVario® is suitable for more powerful work. The 10.5 cm Stubby electric is ideal for getting into tight spaces.
2. Torque screwdriver handles
With the TorqueVario®-S electric, you can tighten the screw in a controlled manner and thus avoid damaging the material. The torque is variably adjustable between 0.8 and 5 Nm.
3. Electric screwdriver handles
You can screw more efficiently than with a manual screwdriver with the speedE® II electric screwdriver. Namely 2x faster! The protective function stops electric screwdriving from 0.4 Nm. This protects against material damage. You can then tighten the screws manually.
4. Multitool screwdriver: with bits in the handle
Last but not least, you can also use two multifunctional screwdrivers with this electrician tool set. One is the LiftUp® electric with 6 slimBits, which are stored in the handle. The other is the more compact PocketMax® electric for your trouser pocket with 4 slimBits.
Profiles and external hexagon socket spanner
You can insert the perfect profile for the screw into the bit holders of the handles as required:
- Slot
- Phillips
- Pozidriv
- TORX
- Hexagonal and square
All profiles feature Wiha slimBit technology. The insulation is integrated into the blade, which makes the bit 33% slimmer than most conventional bits. This makes it very easy to reach deep-set screws.
With the aid of an adapter, you can also use 1/4" socket spanners with a spanner width of 4-14 mm with the system.

1. Extensions
Do you often need a very long screwdriver blade? You can easily put it together with a slimBit® extension. Simply place it between the handle and the profile - done!
3. Adapter for 1/4" socket spanner
The manual screwdrivers in the system (except for the presicion screwdriver handle) quickly become torque tools with the easyTorque adapters. They are available for five different torque ranges from 0.8 to 7 Nm.
3. Adapter für 1/4" Steckschlüssel
Hexagon socket screws are also no problem for this tool set. With the inserted adapter, you can use 1/4" sockets with spanner widths from 4 to 14 mm.
VDE tool sets are the first choice for electricians!
If you carry out electrical installations for a living, you work on electrical systems every day. This work in the vicinity of live components means that you are exposed to a particular risk of electric shock, short circuits and electric arcs. You can certainly protect yourself by carefully implementing all safety measures prior to installation (see the 5 safety rules). Nevertheless, there is a residual risk, e.g. because systems cannot always be switched off completely or due to incorrect labelling in the switch cabinet.
For this reason, the tools in your electrician tool set must be insulated and therefore voltage-proof. Equipped in this way, you and the electrical system are protected! In Wiha's electrician tool sets, all relevant tools are designed for work in the vicinity of live components. This is guaranteed by independent and internationally recognised test seals from the VDE (German Electrical Engineering Association) and the DIN IEC standard 60900, which confirm that each tool has undergone strict individual checks. This guarantees maximum safety for all work up to 1,000 V AC and 1,500 V DC.
Which electrician tool set covers your needs?
Do you need a completely new, comprehensive set of tools for electricians, for example because you are equipping a new employee or a young professional? Or would you like to replace your outdated equipment? Then click here for our professional tool cases. Or click here for the tool rucksack, which is particularly convenient and mobile.
Otherwise, your requirements depend on the conditions under which you work. Are your jobs often service assignments, for example in customer service? Or do you often install in an elevated working position, e.g. on a ladder? Perhaps you regularly carry out a very specific electrical installation, such as the installation of a wallbox. We have different systems on offer for all these activities:
